The Start

My life was normal, loving family, just added a new addition to the family.

When all of a sudden my son was complaining about stomach pains and to watch and be hopeless is the worse feeling a mother could have.

When we took him to the doctor and the test came back as food allergies it was a scramble to find out what he could be allergic too. So many things it could be peanuts, dairy never in my life had I heard of being allergic to Wheat.

So we started with what we knew and when it never got better the doctor told us to continue to eliminate foods that my son had eaten as the test could not pin point the allergy.

We finally discovered that it was Wheat (gluten). It was an eye opener for us. I just wanted to cry.

Here was my son 18yrs old and a lover of food especially bread and not being able to enjoy his foods. To discover that our normal foods that we ate all contained Wheat (gluten) was a shocker.

What was I going to do? What was I going to feed my growing son that before this already was eating me out of house and home. To see him suffer with the pain was bad but to see him not eating because everything was bad for him, was more heartbreaking.

Being new to this and not knowing is hard. Where does one get gluten free foods? They are not really available in stores.

When I started looking and discovered that Gluten free is in very few stores and not that accessible, and discovering how many people are out there with this same problem made me realize that this is my opportunity to do something.

I have looked around and Gluten free products are hard to come by and pricey. So I am trying to make this site so that people can have gluten free products that won't cost an arm and a leg.
